Frøslev Polde-path-Hærvejens Perler

Frøslev Plantation offers a magnificent landscape. Experience the Jutland heath, where centuries of sand drift have created impressive inland dunes – the so-called 'poldere' – that give the area its unique character. The route meanders through geological wonders and open landscapes, where grazing livestock help to maintain nature and biodiversity. As a true Hærvej gem, the route is a circuit that connects with the Hærvej cycling route. Along the path, you will find information boards that tell about the area's rich history and unique nature, and several spots invite you for a well-deserved rest.

Frøslev Camp and the White Buses

Frøslev Camp near Padborg was erected in 1944. The camp served as an internment camp for Danish prisoners during the Second World War. Although the purpose was to avoid deportations to concentration camps, over 1600 prisoners were still sent south - many never returned. The original buildings, barbed wire, and watchtowers tell a powerful story about prisoners, resistance movements, and the White Buses that saved thousands of lives in the final months of the war.
